The second Cabela’s in the Old Dominion is nestled on 13.21 acres in the West Broad Marketplace, which is along Interstate 64 near the intersection of West Broad Street and Cold Hill Lane. You will find hints of the Old Dominion landscape and history all throughout the store. Upon entering the store, you will enjoy the rustic log construction and stonework, along with a 360 view of the beauty of nature, depicted in beautifully painted murals & photography. In the black and white photography, you will see local Virginians enjoying their love of the great outdoors. Walking through the store you will be able to enjoy dozens of museum-quality wildlife displays. On our conservation mountain you will see the likeness of the famous “short pump” from Saunders’s Tavern, telling the story of how Short Pump, Virginia was named. Encapsulated in our conservation mountain you will find our 40,000 gallon fresh water aquarium that houses various local species of fish. As you walk through our Archery Department, make sure to locate our state bird, and try out our 15-yard archery shooting range. Just a short stroll from our Archery Department you will find our Gun Library under an amazing lion and zebra display. Take the time to view a wide variety of used firearms and enjoy the rustic lodge feel inside the Gun Library, where you can buy and sell used firearms.
