For over 50 years the University of Maine 4-H Camp & Learning Center at Bryant Pond has strengthened children’s relationship to the natural world with a combination of inspired outdoor fun, practical woods-wise skills, and “hands-on” conservation education. Helping young people learn to take care of our natural world and themselves when they are in it are our most important goals.
As Maine’s largest sportsman’s organization, SAM is considered the leader of Maine’s sportsmen. SAM was organized in 1975 and is a 501 (c ) 3 non-profit membership organization to promote conservation of Maine’s wildlife resources and to be an advocate for hunters, anglers, trappers and gun owners throughout the state. SAM’s members have a real voice and impact on outdoor issues.
Operation Game Thief is a private 501c3, non-profit organization that works in cooperation with state and federal conservation law enforcement agencies to pay rewards, if requested, to citizens who turn in poachers or individuals unlawfully introducing non-native fish species to lakes, ponds and streams of Maine.
Ducks Unlimited conserves, restores, and manages wetlands and associated habitats for North America's waterfowl. These habitats also benefit other wildlife and people. The mission of Ducks Unlimited is simple: wetlands sufficient to fill the skies with waterfowl today, tomorrow and forever. Ducks Unlimited is a 501c3 non-profit, with the Casco Bay Chapter proudly representing DU's heritage in southern Maine.
As a first-class tuna fishing tournament, the Casco Bay Bluefin Bonanza combines highly-skilled anglers from all over the Northeast in a contest of competition, comradery, and fun to give back. The tournament is recognized as a501(c)(3) charitable organization. The tournament and its’ committee are committed to the purpose of raising funds in support of educational scholarships and critical Bluefin Tuna Research.
